AAP volunteers promise police to produce Hardeep Singh

SANGRUR: Absconding activist of AAP, Hardeep Singh remains elusive even as volunteers of the party approached the Moonak Deputy Superintendent of Police Akashdeep Singh Aulakh offering to make the activist surrender.
Aulakh told TOI over the phone that the volunteers had made this offer three times but could not keep their word. Hardeep Singh was wanted in attempt to rape case. A 15-year old dalit girl, of the village near Moonak, had complained to the police and recorded her statement in court under section 164 that Hardeep Singh attempted to rape her in the dark room of his photo studio. The girl had visited the studio to get herself photographed.
The DSP said "Irrespective of the promises made by AAP volunteers, the police is continuing with its search operations."
